Stella Capital Advisors is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial adviser to TV 2 on its acquisition of the remaining 45% shares in TV 2 Zebra AS for an undisclosed amount, making TV 2 Zebra a wholly-owned subsidiary of TV 2.
TV 2 has entered into an agreement with Telenor regarding the acquisition of Telenor's shares in TV 2 Zebra AS. The agreement means that the joint ownership with Telenor, which was initiated with the acquisition of the broadcasting rights for Norwegian football for the period 2006-2009, has ended.
"We have had a good co-operation with Telenor in TV 2 Zebra. However, the owners agreed that TV 2 Zebra's further development will be best facilitated with TV 2 as the sole owner" says Kjetil Nilsen, Head of Strategy and Business Development.
"This channel co-operation was initiated in conjunction with us jointly acquiring the football rights. We have contributed to the creation and development of TV 2 Zebra and TV 2 SPORT, but as the co-operation agreement is nearing an end, the timing is right for us to clarify the roles between distributor and content owner by exiting the ownership in TV 2 Zebra" says Erik Nord, CEO of Telenor Media & Content Services
